十九世纪末,中华民族面临着亡国灭种的严重危机.救亡图存成为中国社会的主题.维新派作为民族资产阶级的代袁,倡言变法,谋求富强,给奄奄一息的中国注入了生机.为完成变法大业,维渐派深深感到对人才的需要,这些人才就是不同于旧式封建文人的新式知识分子.培养和造救人才就成为维新派进行变法活动的一项重要内容,从而形成了系统的人才观.他们把培养人才看作是变法维新能否取得成功的前提条件,重视人才综合素质的提高,大力提倡培养人才的群体观念.对维新派的人才观进行总结和研究,对当今我国教育事业的发展和改革具有借鉴作用.
