First, the research background According to the new curriculum standards, the main purpose of compulsory education phase of the English curriculum is to lay the foundation for students to develop comprehensive language proficiency. Therefore, the language of the texts carried in the textbooks should not only be limited to the understanding of the text, but also should be elevated to the level of comprehensive utilization. Junior Oxford Oxford English reading is generally divided into two classes, the first class and second class hours. The former focuses on the understanding of the text and reading skills training.
