Wang Zhiliang (Construction and Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgy) concluded the discussion: The problem of anti-sliding stability in the deep dam foundation is a very important and complex technical issue. Literature 1) mentions that “China has constructed and is constructing more than 90 foundations with weak interlayers. In the concrete dam, because the weak sandwich in the dam foundation was not discovered in time, the design change, the delay period, and the reinforcement in the later period accounted for about 1/3. Therefore, the research work in this area was carried out in an organized and organized manner. “Liu Zhibin and Zhou Shuyi have put forward their own viewpoints and provided valuable information. It is useful to promote the study of this issue. I would like to express my gratitude. The following questions concerning the original three oblique methods are supplemented by some personal opinions.” ) Applicability of the rigid body limit equilibrium method Comrade Liu pointed out some limitations of the rigid body limit equilibrium method, and pointed out that the future direction is to use more finite element calculations and geomechanical model tests for more in-depth and detailed analysis. There is no objection to this, but it should be made clear that the rigid body limit equilibrium method does not exclude finite element analysis and model tests, and the relationship between them should be complementary. Limit equilibrium method in the preliminary design phase of the project and is necessary for medium-sized projects. This is due to its conceptual simplicity, ease of calculation, no
