我国高等教育正在向以社会需求为导向,知识传授、能力培养为基础,提高素质为目的的教育模式转轨,学校实施素质教育的关键在教师,教师决定了实施素质教育的效果。笔者经过几年的英语教学实践,就高校英语教师在素质教育背景下的基本素质提出“教师崇高的职业道德素养和较强的智能素养”是素质教育之源。
China’s higher education is turning to the education mode based on social needs, knowledge transfer, ability cultivation and quality improvement. The key to implementing quality education in schools is that teachers and teachers determine the effect of implementing quality education. After several years of English teaching practice, the author puts forward that “teachers’ lofty professional ethics and strong intellectual accomplishments” are the source of quality education based on the basic qualities of college English teachers under the background of quality education.
