缚硫焦是根据炼铁时在高炉中加石灰石起脱硫作用的实践,把石灰石加到高硫炼焦煤中,使之在炼焦过程中将大部分的硫变成硫化钙,以尽可能多地“缚”住硫不至于在高炉中上下往返活动,而直接进入炉渣,减少生铁的污染。曾用粘结性较好的羊耳山高硫主焦煤作原料,分别炼成高硫焦和缚硫焦,测定了多次性能,初步研究了炼制缚硫焦的有关工艺参数和质量影响因素,并比较系统地进行了两种焦炼铁的对比试验。试验结果表明:取得的多项技术经济指标,缚硫焦均比高硫焦优越,用缚硫焦炼出的铸造生铁的合格率已达到90%以上,充分反映缚硫焦的缚硫效果是显著的,在炼铁试验中,分层从高炉中取出焦炭、矿石、熔剂,生铁和炉渣五种炉料的样品,经过大量分析,得出在分别用缚硫焦和高硫焦炼铁期间五种炉料中沿高炉高度方向的含硫量变化,从而清楚地掌握了硫在高炉内的活动规律,这对进一步研究提高缚硫效果以及生铁的硫化和脱硫机理,有一定的指导意义。
