10月28日朱镕基总理、温家宝副总理亲临国家统计局视察并对统计工作作了重要指示。这是全国统计系统的一件大事,是对全国统计工作者的亲切关怀和巨大鼓舞,充分体现了党中央国务院对统计工作的重视和关心。 新闻播出后,各地统计部门认真组织学习国务院领导的重要讲话,深 刻领会精神实质并联系工作实际,落实总理讲话精神。一致表示,要按照党中央、国务院领导的要求,扎扎实实做好工作,努力提高统计数据质量,积极参与统计改革,不断提高自身素质,以“三个代表”重要思想为指导,坚持与时俱进,开创统计工作新局面。

After the news was broadcast, the statistics departments at various localities conscientiously organized and conducted important speeches to learn from the leaders of the State Council, profoundly understood the essence of the spirit, contacted the actual work and implemented the spirit of the premier’s speech.
