The method for computing the triangular belt movement described in this paper is based on the calculation methods recommended by the Soviet Union’s “Encyclopedia of Machine Making” (Volume 2) and the “Machine Builder’s Manual” (Volume 4, Second Edition). At the same time, in order to simplify the design and calculation, some major and auxiliary data can be directly checked from the chart, which can reduce the designer’s 1/2 to 2/3 labor. The power delivered by the triangular belt can be calculated according to the following formula: N=N_0·C·z where: N_0—The power of each certain model cross-section belt, which can be delivered under certain working conditions (horsepower) ;C—The factor that takes into account the influence of the wrap angle α and the turbulent working condition on the traction ability; z—the belt weight. The number of N_0 plants depends on the diameter of the small belt and the speed of the belt.
