Scope This standard sets forth the general requirements for fatigue testing machines capable of testing material samples, simulated components, building components and composite building components periodically or non-periodically under fluctuating loads. It needs to be supplemented by other standards followed by different types of fatigue testing machines. 2. Purpose of Use The fatigue testing machine is used to determine the characteristic values of the mechanical properties of the fluctuating load caused by the bearing capacity, moment or deformation of the test object referred to in Section 1.
