In the wilderness area of Lake Wicker, north of Shenyang, stands a large stone carving, a giant calendar of granite sculptures dating back to 18 September 1931. This “eternal monument” constantly warns people not to forget the history of the Japanese invaders’ trekking through the mountains and rivers of our country, enslaving and harming the Chinese people. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the “September 18th” incident.
