本文分析编码的 RAM(Random Access Memory)系统的寿命。当用许多芯片组成一个大容量的存贮器系统时,虽然单片 RAM 是可靠的,但对实际系统的可靠性也许还不能满足要求。在这种情况下,纠错码可用来提高系统的寿命和可靠性。文中列出了采用编码方法对存贮器系统寿命改善的计算公式,从而设计师可以预知某个存贮器系统是否满足所要求的可靠性和使用期限。此外,设计师还能计算同类系统持续时间长度的平均百分数。
This article analyzes the life of a coded RAM (Random Access Memory) system. When using a large number of chips to form a large-capacity memory system, the reliability of the actual system may not be sufficient even though the monolithic RAM is reliable. In this case, error correction code can be used to improve system life and reliability. The paper presents a formula for calculating the life of a memory system using a coding method so that the designer can predict whether a memory system meets the required reliability and lifespan. In addition, the designer can calculate the average percentage of the duration of similar systems.
