六十年代曾是经济学家社会形象的黄金时代。甚至连“杰出的”这个被人们长期用来讥讽经济学界代表人物的形容词也曾失去了讽刺的内涵,开始表示某种敬意和爱戴之情。经济学职业正在成为一种体面的职业。唉,倒霉的经济学家!第一次石油危机爆发十年以后,他们逐步取得的信誉已残存无几。失业人数的增加、通货膨胀的发展、汇兑率的波动、发展中国家的经济困难,所有这些都帮助毁掉了经济学职业的信誉。而在这同时,职业本身的秘密也因马克思主义者与新古典学派、货币学派与凯恩斯派之间无休止的争论而在大庭广众之前暴露无遗。在公众场合提到经济科学的危机,已成为一种平淡无奇的常事。
The 1960s was the golden age of the social image of economists. Even the “outstanding” adjective, long used by people to sarcastic representatives of the economic community, has lost its ironic connotations and began to show some kind of respect and affection. Economics is becoming a decent job profession. Alas, unlucky economists Ten years after the first oil crisis broke out, their progressive credit has been scarce. The increase in the number of unemployed, the development of inflation, the volatility of the exchange rate and the economic difficulties of developing countries all contribute to the destruction of the credibility of the profession of economics. At the same time, the secrets of the profession itself were exposed by the endless debate between the Marxists and neoclassical schools, the money school and the Keynesian faction. Mentioning the crisis of economic science in public has become a bland commonplace.
