The ESA has completed the Near Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec), the last of two devices manufactured for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) that will fly in 2018 An-5 launch vehicle to begin a space observation trip. The NIRSpec will be used to observe the first star and the first galaxy in the early universe (about 400 million years after the big bang), and to observe 100 celestial bodies simultaneously.
