Kenzaburo Oe’s “Okinawa notes” was created in the 1970s. At the beginning of this century, Japan’s right-wing forces launched an attack on some of the contents of the book, claiming they violated historical facts. Oe Kenzaburo, the author of Okinawa’s Notes, and Japan’s Iwanami Shoten became the defendants, a long-time concern in Japanese society. After years of trial in court, Oe finally won. On the occasion of the court’s verdict, the Chinese translation of The Notes of Okinawa came to China. As Japan’s intellectual conscience, Kenzaburo Oe Kenzo in the book reveals the hope of the Japanese nation and the repentance of the people of Okinawa. Emotional sincere, thought-provoking.
