I remember when I was a kid, the cars I saw were mostly “Volga” from the former Soviet Union or “Shanghai” from China. Occasionally see the black car “red flag” stop to watch. When I came to college, I started to see foreign cars and could not name them. Graduates assigned to work, the streets running almost all foreign cars. Indeed, China’s automobile industry base is poor, started late, in 1978 car production was only 150,000, the main varieties of medium-sized trucks, cars almost blank. “Red Flag” and “Shanghai” together, less than 4,000. Under such circumstances, “the emperors do not have to worry about marrying”, the quality of the brand is not important to the producer and the user.
