如何提高多品种、中小批生产的加工效率,是近年来人们普遍重视的问题。自从数控机床及自动换刀数控机床用于生产以来,对这个问题的解决是前进了一步,但还不能完全满足要求。目前日本有些厂家,又把这种自动换刀数控机床与少量的专用多工序机床相配合,组成了用电子计算机直接控制(DNC)的自动线,从而大大提高了多品种、中小批生产的加工效率。
