The traditional way to formulate a composition is to change the teacher’s entire batch and fine-tune it. There are at least two major drawbacks to this approach: one is that teachers are exhausted and the other is that students have little benefit. In the words of Ye Lao, it is called “futility.” In view of this, I believe that the principle of correcting composition is that “students and students will change together in the same batch”. Cultivating students’ abilities and habits in modifying composition is an inherent and extremely important task in composition teaching. It is to cultivate writing ability.
