《普通高中英语课程标准》(以下称《课标》)八级写作要求提到:“能根据用文字及图表提供的信息写短文或报告;能写出连贯且结构完整的短文,叙述事情或表达观点和态度”(教育部,2003)。书面表达对考生书面综合运用能力的测量最准确,效度最高(杨惠中、Weir,1998)而且能同时测试语言的各个层次和各个因素,如词汇、词组、句子和语篇四个层次以及语法、搭配和意义三个考点因素(李筱菊,1997)。学生书面表达的分数直接影响他们的英语成绩和高考总分。因此,研究书面表达的命题体裁、模式,跟踪命题题材,指导学生写作技能技巧、促进学生写作能力的提高。本文试图从研究2010年全国高考英语书面表达题材特点和2009年至2011年福建省高考英语书面表达命题情况,依据《课标》要求,利用图式理论,结合学生的具体情况,进行图表类书面表达的写作指导。
