The International Symposium on “The Physiological Basis of Postharvest Technology”, co-sponsored and organized by the International Horticultural Society, American Society of Horticulture and the Post-harvest Biology and Technology Planning Unit of the University of California, was held on August 9-15, 1992 at the University of California, San Diego Davis held. There were 152 post-harvest technology experts and professors from 24 countries participating in the conference. A total of 108 papers were delivered at the conference, including 42 oral speeches and 66 written speeches (or posters).
