中国的大多数学生都是从初一才开始接触英语学习,就近年以来才开始慢慢在小学开展英语学习教育。教师在对学生进行英语教学的过程中,一般只对英语中的词语、句子、语言规则以及语法等方面的训练较为重视,导致学生对于自身在学习中的不足以及相关文化知识缺少了解因而英语成绩不甚理想或得不到提高。因此本文提出要将学习语言和赖以生存的文化相结合,将语言教学和文化教学合理地统一起来,让学生从多方面去学习和了解英语语言的知识以及文化,从而完善和丰富英语教学工作,增强文化知识,为学生长期的英语学习及跨文化交际能力奠定扎实的基础。
