江泽民同志在党的十六大报告中指出:贯彻“三个代表”要求,关键在坚持与时俱进,核心在坚持党的先进性,本质在坚持执政为民。这一论述,从关键、核心、本质三个层面系统地揭示了“三个代表”根本要求的内涵,对于更好地团结和动员全党高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,全面贯彻“三个代表”要求,指出了明确方向,具有十分重要的指导意义。 一、贯彻“三个代表”要求,关键在坚持与时俱进 人类历史的发展表明,一个阶级、政党或集团,能否始终保持自己的生命活力,成为时代的先行者,成为推动历史发展的进步力量,归根到底,在于能否与时代发展的方向和趋势相吻合,始终走在时代前列。坚持与时代同行,就能够朝气蓬勃,事业兴旺;否则就落后于时代,就要被历史所淘汰。因此,与时俱进,开拓创新,紧跟世界进步潮流,走在时代前列,这是新时期加强党的建设,全面贯彻“三个代表”的关键。
