日本作家川端康成的《雪国》在东西方结合的创作道路上,既借鉴了西方象征意象的创作手法,同时也将东方的生死轮回与重生的人生观念融入其中。作品中蕴含着大量的象征意象,其雪、水循环主体意象的建构体现了诺思罗普·弗莱的物质世界循环准则;其四季循环的结构,隐喻着川端康成生死轮回的净化与重生主题。
Japanese writer Kawabata Yasunari’s “Snow Country” combines the creative ways of Western symbolic imagery with the combination of East and West as well as incorporates Eastern life and death concepts of life and rebirth. The works contain a large number of symbolic images. The construction of the subject image of snow and water cycle embodies Northrop Frye’s circular guideline of the material world. The structure of the four-quarter cycle metaphorizes the theme of purification and rebirth of Kawabata’s life-death cycle.
