The first part redefined the concept of intelligence research. It is believed that intelligence research is a process of using science methods to orient information, make explicit identification and integrate the information to solve a specific problem. In the past, most of the concepts of intelligence research, to varying degrees, had “repetition of similar words” or “circular definition”, “too narrow definition” or “too wide definition”, and the definitions were not clear or ambiguous. The reason is that people do not grasp the essential attributes of information research, and have a vague understanding of the objects of information research activities.
