2008年1月下旬以来,一场罕见的雪灾席卷了中国大部分南方地区,地处长江南岸的芜湖市在连续半个多月的雨雪冰冻天气下,很快成为全国冰雪灾害的重灾区。断电、停水、交通瘫痪、食品供应紧张……面对严重的灾情,芜湖边防检查站全体官兵积极响应市委市政府的号召,纷纷走上抗灾第一线。战严寒、斗风雪,团结一心,发扬“两不怕”精神,连续奋战,演绎着一幕幕抗雪救灾的感人事迹,用热血和青春书写着对党、对国家、对人民无限的忠诚。
Since late January 2008, a rare snow storm has swept most of China’s southern region. Wuhu City, located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, has been hit hardest by the snow-ice disaster in more than half a month for more than half a month. In the face of a serious disaster, all officers and men at the border checkpoint in Wuhu actively responded to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and Government and took the first place in the disaster-stricken line.
