An example of the introduction of a three-dimensional geometry textbook P77 Example 4 is known for a cone with a radius of R on the bottom and a height of H, in which there is an inscribed cylinder with height x. (1) Find the lateral area of the cylinder; (2) When the value of x is the maximum area of the cylinder? (An explanation of the process is omitted.) We first let the students see this example problem and its solution process during the teaching. Then let the students think independently and actively explore and solve such problems.
