作为语言修辞手段之一的隐喻不仅是一种思维方式,更是一种认知现象,是人类语言的共有现象,在人们的日常生活中无处不在。隐喻在语言中具有不可替代的作用,作为英语语言精华的习语也蕴含着大量的隐喻。因此,把概念隐喻理论和英语习语教学结合起来,研究习语中的隐喻具有重要的价值,对学习者了解英语习语的历史和文化内涵,提高学习者的认知能力、语言思维能力及交际能力都有重要作用。
Metaphor as one of the rhetorical devices of language is not only a way of thinking, but also a cognitive phenomenon. It is a common phenomenon of human language and is ubiquitous in people’s daily life. Metaphor plays an irreplaceable role in language. As an idiom in English language, metaphor also contains a large number of metaphors. Therefore, it is of great value to study the metaphor of idioms by combining conceptual metaphor theory and English idiom teaching, to understand the history and cultural connotation of English idioms, to improve learners’ cognitive ability, language thinking ability and Communicative ability has an important role.
