The Gravity Measurement and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission will produce a new model of the Earth’s gravitational field every 15-30 days over a five-year mission cycle, with unprecedented accuracy of the model. The GRACE mission requires that two satellites be separated by 100-500 km and fly in formation formations in tandem. The mission will be using two common-rail satellites with their own instruments to fly.
