蟠龙采油区位于鄂尔多斯盆地陕北斜坡东部,是一套砂、泥岩间互的辫状河、三角洲沉积;圈闭类型以构造—岩性圈闭为主。主采长2油层岩性以灰白色中—细粒长石砂岩,平均埋深750m,油层压力低、底水活跃,在开采一段时间后,地层压力亏空产量大幅下降;截止2008年底下降到单井平均日产油0.3吨,在没有较好候补层位情况下,针对旧井改造的转向压裂工艺逐渐成为改造长2油层,弥补产能的一项重要技改措施。
