An automatic target recognition system is participating in flight tests to demonstrate the tactical advantages that helicopters can make using artificial intelligence. The Army AH-64Apache is an independently fielded, high-powered aircraft that may be part of a joint attack force during the 2000 World War. However, no matter under rough weather conditions, day or night flight conditions, Apache and enemy attacks like any other attack aircraft. The inherent danger, of course, is that it inevitably exposes ourselves to the enemy’s firepower during the execution of a war mission. Automatic Target Recognition was conducted by the Hawthorn Center for Systems and Research and the Military Avionics Division in collaboration with the Army’s Night Vision and Electro-Optical Laboratory (NV & EOL) and Applied Technology
