一《上海文学》编辑部要我写一篇关于上海民歌的文章,我踌躇了很久,不敢落笔。论述上海民歌,目前还是一件困难的事情,不仅因为上海是一个大城市,在民间文学现象上存在着复杂的情况;而且由于资产阶级学者传统观念所造成的恶劣影响,他们认为这样的城市里不可能有民歌,他们的结论是“上海无民歌”。因此,在悠长的岁月里,上海的民歌矿藏还很少被人触动过,关于上海民歌的资料很少,更说不上有人作过什么研究了。现在能够搜罗到的民歌资料,解放前的只有两种,一种是1923年出版的胡云翘的《沪谚外编》,另一种是1933年由江苏教育学院出版的《江苏歌谣集》(第三辑沪海区),而这两种民歌集子(《沪谚外编》不完全是民歌),所收的都 A “Shanghai Literature” editorial department asked me to write an article about Shanghai folk songs, I hesitated for a long time, not to drop the pen. There are only two kinds of songs before the liberation, one is Hu Yunqiao’s “Shanghai Proverbs” edited in 1923, and the other is “Jiangsu Songs Collection” published by Jiangsu Institute of Education in 1933, (Third series of the Shanghai area), and these two folk song collection (“Shanghai proverb” is not entirely folk song), all received
