内燃机在完成装配或大修后交付使用前,一定要进行短期磨合运转,这个阶段是内燃机寿命的最初阶段,磨合质量好坏对内燃机的整个寿命和性能有举足轻重的影响。但目前内燃机制造行业普遍对磨合重视不够,磨合规范的选择和决定往往根据不足或不够慎重,也很少采用促进磨合的措施,如加入磨料、采用有促进磨合作用的油料等。于是在很多生产厂中,磨合规范时间过长,却不一定能达到指标,只好延长时间,磨合工序成了产品出厂的卡脖子工序。还有的内燃机由于磨合不充分,出厂后一经高工况运转就立刻烧瓦,拉缸。因此有必要对磨合过程作个分析,提出一些提高磨合效果的有效方法及我们为此而作的一些尝试,以把磨合阶段搞好。

The quality of the running in and out of the combustion engine has a decisive influence on the entire life and performance of the internal combustion engine. At present, however, the internal combustion engine manufacturing industry generally lacks enough emphasis on running-in and the choices and decisions of running-in specifications are often based on inadequate or inadequate caution. Rarely measures to promote running-in are adopted, such as adding abrasives and using fuel oil to promote running-in.
