在没有服务器管理标准之前,不同厂家的服务器管理软件对服务器管理采用不同的处理方式,从而使得人们难于编制管理软件和保持软件不断升级,就是说一家公司的软件很难控制另一家公司的服务器。随着服务器数量的急剧增加,人们对如何统一管理不同厂家的服务器显得尤为迫切。1998年第一个服务器管理标准IPMI问世,最近几年分布式管理任务组织发布了一系列有关服务器管理的标准,其中包括基于Web Service管理的WS-Management标准和服务器硬件计划系统管理架构(SMASH)标准。本刊将分期予以介绍。
In the absence of server management standards before, server management software from different manufacturers to server management using different approach, making it difficult to organize management software and keep the software escalating, that is, a company’s software is difficult to control another company’s server. With the rapid increase in the number of servers, people are particularly keen on how to uniformly manage servers from different manufacturers. In 1998, the first server management standard IPMI came out. In recent years, Distributed Management Task Force has released a series of standards on server management, including WS-Management standard based on Web Service Management and SMASH (Server Hardware Planning System Management Architecture) standard. This issue will be introduced in phases.
