马丁·艾米斯是英国很有影响力也很有争议的一位后现代主义小说家、评论家和散文家。他以写作技巧上的新颖性而出名。在他的代表作《伦敦场地》中,艾米斯运用了很多后现代主义叙事技巧来表达自己对社会的关注和批判。通过元小说的叙事,即写实性叙事和自我反思性叙事,艾米斯揭示了小说的虚构本质和叙事性质。同时,小说还通过戏仿和碎片化的技巧对传统和主流文化意识形态进行了批判和质疑。所有这些都颠覆了传统叙事策略和读者角色,体现了艾米斯在叙事技巧上的创新,而且反映了他对英国当时很多社会问题的反思。
Martin Amis is a very influential and controversial British postmodern novelist, critic and essayist. He is famous for the novelty of writing skills. Amis uses many postmodernist narrative techniques to express his concern and critique of society in his masterpiece The London Field. Through the metafiction narrative, that is, the realism and self-reflective narrative, Amis reveals the fictional nature of the novel and narrative nature. At the same time, the novel also criticizes and questions the traditional and mainstream cultural ideologies through parody and fragmentation techniques. All these subvert the traditional narrative strategy and the role of the reader, reflecting Amis innovation in narrative skills, but also reflects his reflections on many of the social problems in the United Kingdom at the time.
