Much progress has been made in the development of valuable new varieties and mutants using mutagenesis-induced methods, but many problems remain unresolved. At a seminar co-organized by the Department of Radiological Mutation and Plant Breeding of the Commission of Agricultural Radiology of the All-Su Lenin Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the All-Japan Institute of Agricultural Radiology and the Moscow Branch of the Institute of Crop Science in the United States, a special discussion on plant mutation breeding Methodological issues.
