Beginning from the mid-20th century, the introspection of industrialization and modernization itself made “small traditions” the object of attention in the field of architecture. Taking the practice of the Swiss native architect Kamintana in the village of Flynn as an example, this article shows the architects’ understanding and wisdom of living in the design and construction of the villages for the edge of urbanization, and then explores the importance of local architecture in local Identity, cultural revitalization, economic restructuring and political decision-making in order to provide inspiration for the establishment of a new model of gentry in rural areas.
