对硫酸性质的认识,似乎是尽人皆知。事实并非如此,仍有待于人们作深入探讨之处。曾有人作过将金属钠置于浓硫酸中放出氢气的实验,由于种种原因,这一事实,未曾引起人们的重视,甚至,对此实验持怀疑、否定态度的大有人在。笔者为了弄清事实真象,设计了实验方案,改进了实验方法,变更硫酸的浓度(浓硫酸、纯硫酸和发烟硫酸),经多次实验证实,将金属钠置于冷浓硫酸中,确实产生的是氢气。这一事实,引起了我们的关注,因为按传统的观点,只有“稀硫酸与电位序在氢以前的金属如镁、锌、铁等作用而放出氢气”,
The understanding of the nature of sulfuric acid, seems to be well known. This is not the case, and it remains to be explored in depth.
