广西广播电影电视局是广西壮族自治区人民政府主管全区广播电视宣传和广播电影电视事业的直属机构。党的十一届三中全会以来,特别是近年来,广西广播电影电视事业随着广西经济、社会的不断发展而日新月异。——宣传工作佳绩不断。全区广播电视宣传紧紧围绕全党全国工作大局和自治区党委、政府的中心工作,突出主题,把握重点,导向正确,基调鲜明,宣传质量和舆论引导水平不断提高,打造了一批在区内外有一定影响的节目、栏目,一批广播影视作品分别获得“五个一工程”奖、中国新闻奖、中国广播电视奖、飞天奖、星光奖等, 仅2003年度就有19篇作品获国家级政府奖,其中广西电视台1篇新闻作品获中国新闻奖一等奖,实现了广西中国新闻奖一等奖“零”的突破。对外宣传和对外交流与合作一年一个台阶,广西人民广播电台、广西电视台连续几年上送中央电台、中央电视台稿件被采用数量在国内各省级电台、电视台中名列前茅,扩大了广西的影响,为树立广西新形象,促进广西经济和社会发展发挥了重要作用。
