李平书(1854~1927),原名安曾,字平书,江苏宝山高桥镇(今属上海浦东新区)人,出生于医业世家。曾担任过广东陵丰、新宁、遂溪等地知县,后来因组织百姓反抗法国侵略而被革职。49岁后,李平书转任上海江南制造局提调和多个商业机构的董事。清末,他领导上海地方自治,为上海乃至整个华东的市政、实业、医疗、教育等方面做出重要贡献。辛亥革命时,他率领工商界人士投身革命,立下大功。
Li Pingshu (1854 ~ 1927), formerly known as An Zeng, the word Ping Shu, Baoshan in Jiangsu Gaoqiao Town (now Shanghai Pudong New Area), was born in a medical family. He served as Guangdong Lingfeng, Xinning, Suixi and other magistrates, and later was dismissed for organizing the people to resist the French aggression. 49 years old, Li Pingshu transferred to Shanghai Jiangnan manufacturing bureau and a number of commercial agencies to raise directors. In the late Qing Dynasty, he led the local autonomy in Shanghai and made important contributions to the municipal administration, industry, medical treatment and education in Shanghai and the entire East China. During the 1911 Revolution, he led the business community to join the revolution and made great contributions.
