In recent years, some foreign factories and research institutions conducted a lot of research and experimental work on a new process (called “explosion welding” method) that uses the pressure of explosion for welding. Some achievements have been made in these research experiments and they have also started to be applied in production. The basic principle of the welding process Explosive welding method can be considered as a use of explosion pressure on the metal contact surface caused by plastic deformation to achieve a bonding method. The welding process is shown in Figure 1a and b. Two welded metal plate is usually installed at an angle β, the back of the weldment laying a layer of explosives, explosives ignition and explosion from left to right. The enormous pressure caused by the explosion caused the metal plate to crumble gradually from left to right and the two metal plates were press-fitted from left to right at a great relative speed, causing plastic deformation on the contact surface to become “microwave”. Rely on this so-called “surface jet” effect and create a permanent connection.
