扁桃体周围脓肿是耳鼻咽喉科急症,是急性扁桃体炎和慢性扁桃体炎的并发症,常见于20～40岁青壮年,女性略多于男性,易发于春、秋两季,治疗不及时,可引起严重并发症。我们采用中西医结合方法治疗扁桃体周围脓肿40例,疗效满意。现报告如下。1 资料与方法1.1 临床资料 我科将1992年1月～2002年1月收治的70例扁桃体周围脓肿患者,随机分为治疗组和对照组。治疗组40例,男18例,女22例;年龄20～42岁,平均25岁;采用脓肿穿刺术加中药治疗。对照组30例,男13例,女17例:年龄19～16岁,平均25.5
