“文字事工”是基督教在华传教活动的一个重要方面。来华差会开办的出版印刷机构多集中在经济文化相对发达的上海及沿海一带。中国西南地区经济文化落后 ,交通不便 ,教会出版印刷机构只有寥寥数家。与出版有关的机构大概只有成都的华英书局、重庆华西圣教书会、重庆白果树书院和书局 (天主教 )、打箭炉西藏宗教书站。其中华英书局较具规模 ,对基督教在西南地区的传播起了重要的作用。本文论述其发展历史、经营管理状况、出版物内容 ,以及其历史作用。
“Text ministry” is an important aspect of Christian missionary activities in China. Poor publishing in China will be more publishing and printing agencies are concentrated in the relatively developed economy and culture in Shanghai and the coastal areas. Southwest China’s economic and cultural backwardness, traffic inconvenience, the church publishing and printing agencies only a handful of home. The agencies involved in publishing probably only Chengdu Huaying Bookstore, Chongqing Huaxi Holy Bible Church, Chongqing White Fruit Tree College and the Bookstore (Catholic). Among them, Huaying Bookstore has a large scale and played an important role in the spread of Christianity in southwest China. This article discusses its history of development, operation and management, the content of publications, and its historical role.
