《煤矿安全》1981年第11期刊登了“用煤解吸瓦斯速度法井下测定煤层瓦斯含量的初步研究”一文,提出了井下测定煤层瓦斯含量的新方法(直接法),经过井下试验,证明它是可行的。它使用的工具是“等压解吸仪”,这种仪器能够在等压的条件下,测定煤样中瓦斯解吸速度。但它是利用手工操作,使仪器内的气压保持衡定,在井下使用不很方便。本文对“等压解吸仪”提出改进,使它能够自动调节压力,使之保持衡定,便于井下使用,也可以在试验室内应用。
