1979在维奇涅夫全苏水工研究院混凝土和钢筋混凝土结构的综合实验室内完成了在地质力学脆性模型上对萨扬诺.舒申斯克水电站举世无双的拱坝的应力状态和强度的试验。此试验是考虑到该坝分三期建造和投入运转而进行的。这个地质力学模型是世界上最大的。在这个模型上不仅模拟了岩基的结构和主要的构造破碎带,而且沿块体基建面和裂缝间保持着与原形的粘着力参数相似和摩擦系数相等。在基础模型上还模拟了八个强度、变形率和结构各不相同的地带。
