敏德在春秋时期及之前就成为了统治者教育贵族子弟的重要内容。孔子在此基础上丰富了以“敏”为核心的敏德的内涵。在孔子那里敏具有迅疾、审慎、勉力的含义,所以作为一种美好道德,敏德即是道德主体以道德理想为目标,勉力、审慎、迅疾而行的品德。它突出了孔子思想的道德属性及实践品格。敏德主要体现在为学、修身、从政三个方面,力求在这些方面做到勉力、审慎、迅疾而为,从而达到为知而知的“乐知”境界、“游于艺”的修身之境、从容、泰然的从政乐境。
In the Spring and Autumn Period, Mind became an important part of ruler education of aristocratic children. On this basis, Confucius enriched the connotation of Mind that centered on “Min ”.
