林则徐和孙中山是近代中国特别受到尊崇的两位伟大历史人物。他们都是近代伟大的爱国者、近代中国人向外国寻找救国真理的杰出代表。他们都集中地体现了中华民族精神中最优秀的成分。从林则徐到孙中山这80多年,是中华民族蒙受欺凌、耻辱和挫折的年代,也是中华民族艰苦奋斗和探索的年代。林则徐开创反殖民侵略和开眼看世界、向西方学习的事业,经过几代人的继承和发展,到孙中山开始了比较正规的资产阶级民主革命。林则徐和孙中山都是近代中国历史上开创了一个时代的人物。
Lin Zexu and Sun Yat-sen are two great historical figures who were particularly respected in modern China. They are all great patriots in modern times. In modern times, the Chinese sought out foreign countries for outstanding representatives of the salvation truths. They all embody the best elements of the Chinese nation. The 80-odd years from Lin Zexu to Sun Yat-sen are the times when the Chinese nation suffered bullying, humiliation and setbacks, as well as the era of arduous struggle and exploration for the Chinese nation.
