ＬＩＥＳＭＡＲＳ是武汉测绘科技大学测绘遥感信息工程国家重点实验室（ＮａｔｉｏｎａｌＬａｂｏｒａｔｏｒｙｆｏｒＩｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎＥｎｇｉｎｅｅｒｉｎｇｉｎＳｕｒｖｅｙｉｎｇ，ＭａｐｐｉｎｇａｎｄＲｅｍｏｔｅＳｅｎａｉｎｇ）的英文简写。它是以测绘科学和信息科学为基础，研究遥感影像信息处理、空间信息系统和空间定位的基本理论、关键技术、应用模式和集成方法，设计和发展多类型的地理信息工程、多层次的空间信息系统，探索和发展新的测绘理论观念。本文在介绍ＬＩＥＳＭＡＲＳ的背景和基本任务的基础上，介绍了ＬＩＥＳＭＡＲＳ的三大研究方向和主要研究进展。
LIESMARS is the English abbreviation of Mapping andRemoteSenaing, National Laboratory of Information Engineering and Information Engineering in Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping. Based on the science of surveying and mapping and information science, it studies the basic theories, key technologies, application modes and integration methods of remote sensing image information processing, spatial information system and space positioning, and designs and develops multi-type geographic information engineering, multi-level space Information system, exploration and development of new concepts of mapping theory. Based on the introduction of the background and basic tasks of LIESMARS, this paper introduces the three major research directions and major research progress of LIESMARS.
