一、川渝地区对外铁路通道现状 建国40多年,川渝地区铁路从无到有,先后建成了成渝、宝成、川黔、成昆、襄渝、内宜、成达等多条干线,截止1997年底,拥有铁路3111.5公里。与全国水平比较,川渝地区铁路网密度偏低,每万人拥有铁路0.27公里,低于全国平均0.47公里的水平,1997年川渝地区铁路运输负荷为:客运468万人公里/公里,货运1619万吨公里/公里,平均运输密度为2087万换算吨公里/公里,单线路网完成如此大的运输负荷,可见川渝地区铁路网已全面紧张,既有干线部分出现能力饱和。
