In late July of this year, a reader named Sun Laifa wrote a letter to Zhang Yannong, editor-in-chief of People’s Daily. He put forward the word “spy” in “Xinhua News Agency” published in “People’s Daily” in “News of the Taiwan Spies for 4 Years.” My opinion is that it is more accurate here to state “Taiwan’s spies.” After receiving the letter, Comrade Zhang Yannong discussed the issues raised by the readers with the comrades in the newspaper and handed the letter to Nan Zhenzhong, editor in chief of Xinhua News Agency. After receiving the letter, Comrade Nan Zhenzhong paid close attention to immediately organizing the relevant department of Xinhua News Agency to verify the evidence. After consulting authorities and relevant experts, it was confirmed that the term “spy” was correct in the above-mentioned report and wrote a letter in reply to Comrade Sun Laifa. This issue shows the two editor-in-chief to deal with the process of the general reader letter recorded. “People’s Daily” and Xinhua News Agency are two important news media in China. The two chief editors attach so much importance to promptly handling the letter from an ordinary reader. This strict and down-to-earth work style deserves every journalist Learn.
