杜尔伯特蒙古族自治县是我省最大的少数民族自治地区,辖11个乡镇,15个国营农林牧渔场,176个村、344个自然屯,总人口24万6千多人。去年入汛以来由于嫩江水位暴涨,使全县遭受了百年不遇的特大洪涝灾害,受淹乡镇12个,占乡镇总数的46.2％,淹没村屯83个,占村屯总数的24.1％,受灾人口达到10万人,淹没农田68.7万亩,占农田总数的52％,加上淹没草原、损坏民房、冲毁道路等全县
