通常对水泥混凝土存在有“500℃以上烧成会发生强度降低,并且强度不能恢复”的概念。因此,得出“在水泥混凝土上涂陶瓷釉,不可能烧成美丽的色彩”的结论。日本INAX中央研究所利用陶瓷技术的优势,从1975年起研究开发涂釉烧成而强度不降低的水泥混凝土基材,终于研制出不仅在900℃烧成,强度不降低,并且还由于烧成,使强度进一步提高的基材。他们把这种基材称为“釉化水泥材”
