John Kristian Dahl (1788-1857) was born in Bergen in western Norway. When I was an interior decorator. As a young man of great artistic talent, he studied at the Art Institute in Copenhagen in 1811. Because then Norway and Sweden have not yet separated, until 1909 Norway has its own art college. After 1813, Dahl continued to live in Copenhagen and traveled all over Denmark in search of creative inspiration. In his early works we can see the Fredericksburg Castle, created in 1814, one of the many royal castles in Denmark. From the works, we can see Dahl’s attention to the historical theme and his ability to depict the details.
